COATING METHODS AND COATING PROCESS
Coating via Select Flood process
There are different methods of coating on the market. As the requirements concerning the quality of the coating vary, several different methods can be applied.
PROTECTIVE COATING
The pictures show a typical protective coating application.
COATING METHODS
All coating methods have advantages and disadvantages. An all-purpose process in which all forms and all materials can be applied doesn’t exist.
In general, all these methods differ in their property of being coated more or less selective.
Another decisive criterion of the coating process is the quantity that is to be coated and the frequency of type changes. For high quantities with a low variety of types, so called Inline coating machines are appropriated as these are not very flexible but work especially economically.
COATING PROCESS
For simple applications, several coating processes can be used. As coating medium, a common, solvent-based protective lacquer is sufficient. With extreme humidity or aggressive atmosphere we recommend thick-film lacquer or Potting.
DIFFERENT COATED BOARDS
We’re able to coat different types of circuit boards.
Basically, the cleaner the surface, the better the adhesion of the coating material. Therefore, with high quality coatings, we recommend to clean the components or boards that are to be coated before the coating process, removing flux residues or finger grease without any residues. Optional, we also offer this as a service.
WATERPROOF COATING
BOARDS WITH WATERPROOF COATINGS
With our coating, the boards are protected against extremes (e.g. environmental impacts like acid rain with wind turbines, condensation, short-circuits).

Our coating methods and coating proccesses are state-of-the-art as you can see on the picture of a coated board under UV (ultraviolet light).
- We only recommend: proven coating materials, casting compounds.
- We choose the most suitable coating process for you using selective coating by dipping or spraying and if necessary manual coating.
- We develop complete operation sequences to guarantee our costumers‘ quality requirements.
- Modern potting and dispensing systems round our technical possibilities off.
